The Indigo Disk, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s second DLC, introduced a new evolution for Duraludon: Archaludon. To evolve your Duraludon, you’ll just need to expose it to a specific specialty item, a Metal Alloy.
Below we detail where to find an Duraludon to evolve and how to evolve it into an Archaludon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Where to find Duraludon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
You can find Duraludon in any of the locations below:
There are plenty of Duraludon wandering around the snowy mountains in the Terarium. We were able to find one pretty quickly, but if you’re struggling, you can use a dragon-type sandwich to help boost the encounter rate of Duraludon. We use the “Great Avocado Sandwich,” which consists of avocado, smoked fillet, tomato, and salt.
How to evolve Duraludon into Archaludon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
You’ll need to use an item called “Metal Alloy” to evolve Duraludon into Archaludon. You get a Metal Alloy as a completion reward for filling out the Blueberry Pokédex, but you can also buy one for 300 BP at the school store. (If you haven’t unlocked the Blueberry Quests or BBQs yet, just keep playing the story until Lacey explains it to you.)
Once you have the Metal Alloy, you can select to use it from your inventory, the same way you would an evolution stone.
Note that you do need the DLC to get this item, but if you don’t have the DLC, you can always ask a friend to trade you an Archaludon or a Pokémon holding the item.
