Malachite is a resource you’ll have to find in Lego Fortnite if you want to level up your village or make better weapons and tools. Finding it is going to take a bit of prep work, though, as it is only found in one biome.
Our Lego Fortnite guide will explain how to get malachite and what you’ll use it for.
How to get malachite in Lego Fortnite
Malachite is only found in the Frostlands biome — so you’ll need to find a snow biome first. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you start getting cold and seeing snow everywhere. You’ll also start seeing pine trees where you can gather frostpine wood.
Once you’re there, you’ll just have to start climbing mountains. However, the Frostlands biomes are extremely cold, so you’ll have to prepare in order to survive:
- Make a inner fire charm (3 wool thread, 5 cut ruby, 8 brightcore, and 3 blast core) — or two (the effect stacks) — at an upgraded crafting bench
- Make some spicy burgers (1 flour, 1 meat, and 1 spicy pepper) at a grill
At the tops of mountains, look for dark green deposits — those are your malachite. You’ll need an epic pickaxe (8 obsidian slabs and 5 frostpine rods) to mine them.
Frostlands biomes are the same places you’ll find frostpine, iron, and sapphire.
What you’ll use malachite for in Lego Fortnite
Malachite is an important resource for the endgame. With a stone breaker, you can turn it into malachite slabs.
You’ll use malachite (and malachite slabs) to craft some of the best charms in the game like the rare hearty totem, rare cool-headed charm, and the epic charm of resilience.
You’ll also need malachite and malachite slabs to upgrade any villages in the Frostlands biome.
