Viper Commandos is the latest Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2. This one is also, according to a post on X from developer Arrowhead Game Studios, the last such Premium Warbond before a slowdown in the release cadence.
Below, we detail when the Viper Commandos Warbond releases in Helldivers 2 in your time zone, plus some details about what to expect.
Viper Commandos Warbond release time: When does the new Helldivers 2 update launch?
The Viper Commandos Premium Warbond is set to go live on Thursday, June 13. As usual, neither Arrowhead nor publisher PlayStation Studios have specified the exact release time, but we can make an educated guess about its release time based on previous launches. Cutting Edge went live around 6:30 a.m. EST while the more recent Democractic Detonation and Polar Patriots went live around 5:00 a.m. EDT.
With that in mind, here’s a roughly three-hour window for when the Viper Commandos Warbond goes live in your time zone:
- Between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. PDT for the west coast of North America
- Between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. EDT for the east coast of North America
- Between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. BST for the U.K.
- Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. CEST for western Europe / Paris
- Between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. JST for Tokyo
How much does the Viper Commandos Warbond cost in Helldivers 2?
Though a price has not been announced for Viper Commandos, previous Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2 have cost 1,000 Super Credits (or $9.99), so it’s safe to expect the same in this case.
Unlike battle passes in many other live service games, once purchased, Premium Warbonds never go away in Helldivers 2. Note that you do not get all of the associated rewards automatically; you still have you play your way through the pass.
What’s new in the Viper Commandos Warbond for Helldivers 2?
The Viper Commandos Premium Warbond will feature two new weapons, two new armor sets, and two new utilities, in addition to an array of jungle-themed cosmetics. Let’s break down the highlights:
- There are two new weapons: the AR-23A Liberator Carbine, a version of the existing Liberator assault rifle that’s been modified for close-quarters combat, and the SG-22 Bushwhacker, a sawed-off shotgun sidearm.
- As far as utilities, the Experimental Infusion makes it so your stims temporarily increase your movement speed and reduce incoming damage, while the K-2 Throwing Knife is…exactly what it sounds like.
- Both of the new armor sets — the PH-9 Predator and the PH-202 Twigsnapper — come with the Peak Physique passive ability, which improves weapon handling and melee damage. Fittingly, they’re also both sleeveless.
