Experience More than Ever Before with New Features
Overwatch 2 introduces a collection of new gameplay experiences to dive into. Check out the below for more details:
- Battle Pass: Starting Season 1, players can progress through the new Battle Pass system just by playing the game to earn all sorts of rewards. New cosmetic item types have been added such as charms, name cards, souvenirs, titles, and the Mythic skin tier. If you want to amp it up and earn even more exclusive items, the Premium Battle Pass will be available to purchase for 1000 Overwatch Coins or through the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack. For more in-depth details about the Battle Pass, you can check out our blog post.
- Competitive Mode: Competitive mode has also been updated with changes to skill tier divisions, placement matches, skill decay, competitive rewards, and more. We’ve also introduced a new ping system to make communicating with your team even easier — and without having to speak! These changes are only the beginning as we strive to ensure that competitive play is not only fun, but fair.
- New Push Game Mode: Today you can finally play the newest core game mode “Push”. In Push, teams will compete on a symmetrical map to take control of a robot in the middle of the map. A team can progress the robot towards enemy lines by staying in perimeter of it, making sure the enemy team does not contest by getting too close. Barricades will be scattered throughout the map which will slow the robot down as it keeps pushing towards the enemy.
- Six New Maps: Savor breathtaking sights as the fight moves to new locales across Queen Street, Circuit Royal, Midtown, Colosseo, Esperança, and Paraíso. Play all your favorite core game modes in these new and exciting locations. Plus, many existing maps received new daytime and nighttime variants where you can see your favorite areas in a new light.
